ROUTE 1 PAVING MAY 11, 2016 – MAY 17, 2016

NEWBURYPORT — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be resurfacing Route 1 from the Newbury town line to the Gillis Bridge from Wednesday, May 11th through Tuesday, May 17th. There will be intermittent travel restrictions as the work passes by intersecting side streets.

The paving of the rotary will be completed overnight on Sunday, May 15th to minimize inconvenience to residents.

All paving is expected to be completed by Tuesday, May 17th, barring any weather impacts.  After May 17th, the MassDOT will be installing new permanent pavement markings.

The City will provide updates as necessary.
