Newburyport Police Searching for Man Who Burglarized Store in Tannery
NEWBURYPORT — City Marshal Mark Murray reports that the Newburyport Police Department is searching for a man who burglarized a store in the tannery early this morning.
At approximately 4:20 a.m., Newburyport Police were dispatched to Revitalive Cafe & Juice Bar at the Tannery Shopping Center, 50 Water St., on a report of a past burglary.
Upon arrival, police did a sweep of the building and saw that Revitalive Cafe was the only business that had signs of forced entry. A window panel in the entrance door was broken and the door was found ajar.
Inside the store, police located a register, which appeared to have been broken open. A quantity of cash was also missing.
Surveillance footage showed the break-in occurred around 12:30 a.m. Police also obtained surveillance footage of the suspect and are looking for help identifying him.
Anyone who was in the area at the time, or who recognizes the suspect, is asked to contact the Newburyport Police Department at 978-462-4411. All tips can remain anonymous.
