Newburyport Fire Dept. Battling 3-Alarm Fire on Plum Island

NEWBURYPORT — Fire Chief Christopher LeClaire reports that the Newburyport Fire Department is battling a large house fire on Plum Island this evening.

Firefighters and the Newburyport Police Department responded at 7:30 p.m. Sunday for a reported house fire on 59th Street.

The fire grew and a third alarm was ordered. Fire crews from throughout the Merrimack Valley and New Hampshire Seacost have responded.

There are no reports of any injuries.
